Releasing a Submissive in a BDSM relationship

I was asked a few days ago on what my thoughts were on how to release a submissive in a D/s relationship.

This is a short version on my thoughts. I will post more on this subject in another post that will go into more detail.

Releasing a submissive for whatever the reason can and will be a hard thing to do. We start out vetting before the relationship starts to see if we have anything in common, and what each other is looking for and if we click.

The submissive might be new to the lifestyle or a submissive that has been in the lifestyle and is looking for another Dom/Domme to continue on with there journey.

In the vetting process you also talk about, at anytime, the relationship could and will end at some point for any variety of reasons.

Most of the time relationships end because the Dom/Domme has gone as far as they can with the submissive in there journey. Other reasons are, the submissive can’t handle the boundaries being crossed or the safe words being ignored. Also it could be the submissive has found a partner (spouse, gf, bf) or either one of the Dom/Domme or submissive spouse’s found out about the relationship.

At the time of release, both Dom/Domme and submissive should talk about the reasons on why the relationship is ending. This way the submissive leaves with as little emotional scars as possible. Hopefully the relationship ends on a good note and you both can stay in contact with one another.

Most D/s relationships end after a time. Sorry to say they don’t last forever unless your married to your Dom/Domme or submissive. Then you definitely have the best of both worlds.

I’ve been able to stay in contact with a few on my submissive I had in the past and some are friends. One of my male submissive that I had, has become one of my best friends even he if thinks he isn’t.

He is a kind and a carrying person and has helped me in so many ways. I can not imagine my life without him. Friends like him come along once in a lifetime. I call him my anchor because he is.
